SAFECURE STANDARD & SUPER - water based
SAFECURE is a spray-on temporary membrane to retain moisture in freshly placed concrete. It is formulated to prevent evaporation of the gauging water and provides an economical and efficient method for curing concrete.
SAFECURE is a white, low viscosity liquid which has an alkali reactive emulsion breaking system. This system ensures that the emulsion breaks down to form a non-penetrating continuous film immediately upon contact with a cementitious surface. This impervious film prevents excessive water evaporation which in turn permits more efficient cement hydration, reducing shrinkage and increasing durability. The membrane once formed is degraded when exposed to ultraviolet light over a period of time depending on the conditions of exposure.
ADOCURE WW - water based
ADOCURE WW is a water based products and as such is capable of freezing in extreme weather conditions. If this should occur prior to application simply allow defrosting and ensure that the contents of the container are thoroughly agitated before use.
At normal concreting temperatures the curing compound will not freeze and there will be no problems regarding application. Formwork surfaces should preferably be struck at temperatures above freezing and once again there will be no problems regarding application. As soon as ADOCURE WW comes into contact with the concrete surface it immediately reacts with the cement particles and block the pores allowing undisturbed hydration to commence.
Under subsequent exposure to freezing conditions curing compounds do not provide thermal protection and it may be advisable to provide independent thermal protection.
ADOCURE SUPER - resin based
ADOCURE SUPER is UKWFBS listed as suitable for use on potable water schemes.
ADOCURE SUPER physically “locks” moisture into freshly cast concrete surfaces to allow full hydration of the cement thus allowing the concrete to fully “cure”. It does this by covering the surface of the concrete with a resin film which prevents moisture from leaving the surface.
ADOTUF Concrete Surface Hardener and Dustproofer
The application of ADOTUF to an existing cement-bound floor will significantly improve the properties of the floor to render it:
- Dustproof
- Oil and grease proof
- Case hardened
- Resistant to dilute acids
- More durable
- Longer lasting
- Easier to clean
Debond Compound
A bituminous based compound which will harden on dowel bars to form a thin plastic sheath which after casting of concrete will allow dowel bars to completely break bond with concrete.
ADOBREAK is manufactured to comply with the requirements of Clause 1011 of the Specification for Highway Works 2001 calls for a minimum movement of 0.25 mm after applying a tensile force at 7 days which subjects the bar to an average bond stress not exceeding 0.14 N/mm2.
Sprayers
Optimum results are obtained by using RFA sprayers. Sprayer accessory kit containing complete hose and lance assembly available for metal sprayers only.
