    Utility Anchor Former

The Utility Anchor must be installed using the correct Rubber Recess Former that holds the anchor securely in place during casting. This provides quick and secure installation and forms a recess for the crane hook and the load group is marked on each one. The former can be used by floating in the concrete, or by bolting through the formwork.

Please refer to RFA-Tech's Precast Product Guide and Technical Manual for further technical information.

The Utility Anchor must be installed using the correct Rubber Recess Former that holds the anchor securely in place during casting. This provides quick and secure installation and forms a recess for the crane hook and the load group is marked on each one. The former can be used by floating in the concrete, or by bolting through the formwork.

The rubber former is resistant to oil and retains its shape in temperatures up to 1200C. The former is reusable many times if correctly used and cleaned after each use. Mould oil should be applied to the former before the anchor is inserted. Short-sided formers are also available on request and are for use when lifting thin panels.

The Rubber Recess Former is available in three sizes, one for load groups 0.8t to 3.5t for 12mm diameter anchors and two for 17mm diameter anchors. The larger 7.5t former has a longer profile that accepts an 8.0t crane hook. The wet setting plate is a handle that fits into the back of the former to keep it securely closed to prevent ingress when casting.
